Backpacking in the Pemigewasset Wilderness

Posted by Samurai Appliance Repair Man, in Hillstomping Update 09 July 2011 · 483 views

Went on an overnight backpacking trip Thursday and Friday in the Pemigewasset Wilderness thru the Bonds: Bondcliff, Mt. Bond, and West Bond, the "Jewels of the Pemi," with my Samurai Spudlets™.  Caught sunset on West Bond.  Camped overnight at Guyot campsite.  Hiked out via Mt. Guyot, the Twinway, South Twin, Galehead hut, and Franconia Brook Trail to make it a nice loop hike.  Turn your speakers up and check out the slideshow here.   Best viewed in fullscreen mode.

I didn't have any cell signal the entire trip.  Mucho domos to all the many fine Masters who kept the Samurai School going while I was gone especially Reg, appl.tech, kdog, john63, CTG51 and scottthwolf!  (apologies if I left anyone out).

Hillstomping Update: Mt. Sava with the Oz Man, 3/15/2011

Posted by Samurai Appliance Repair Man, in Hillstomping Update 25 March 2011 · 285 views

Up the Ammonusuc Trail and down the Jewell Trail. Amazing conditions for these last few days of winter: snow was still stiff, consolidated and buoyant, warm temps (around 0F with wind chill), and full on sunshine on this bluebird day. Lots of other hikers out, too-- look for 'em in the slideshow, best viewed in full-screen mode with your volume turned up so you can groove on the soundtrack.

Hillstomping Update: Mt. Moosilaukee Moonwalk

Posted by Samurai Appliance Repair Man, in Hillstomping Update, Samurai Incarnate 11 March 2011 · 443 views

Gorgeous hike with the Oz Man up Mt. Moosilaukee. Up and back via the Glen Cliff Trail. Only saw one other pair of hikers today and they turned back before reaching the summit. Too bad because it was one of those days on the summit that was so beautiful it was surreal.

Turn your speakers up and check out the slideshow. Best viewed in full screen mode. Enjoy!
