Things to check on a Samsung WF218ANW/xaa washer that won't fill with water
Re-verify that the cold & hot water hoses are connected correctly (hot hose to hot valve & cold hose to cold valve).
Inspect the black tube on the WATER LEVEL SENSOR. It should be attached to the SENSOR and the tiny spring-clamp should be securely holding the tube in place.
Usually a *NO FILL* symptom will trigger an error message.
"nF" : No Fill
"LE" : Water Level Sensor Error
The WATER LEVEL SENSOR should give 22 to 24 OHMS at the *pink* & *violet* connections of the SENSOR (remove plug to test sensor).
If the WATER LEVEL SENSOR is "good"---start a cycle with HOT water selected.
The HOT WATER VALVE should be getting 115/120 volts AC (within 30 seconds).
Turn off the washer---turn on washer.
Repeat the test using a cycle for COLD water only. One of the COLD WATER VALVES should be getting 115/120 volts AC (within 30 seconds).
If not---try clearing the EEPROM...
Power off washer.
Press the following buttons at the *same* time:
DELAY START
SIGNAL
POWER (on).
Test washer functions again to see if water enters.
If not---order a new MAIN BOARD.
NOTE:
There are 2 versions of this washer (with the same model number). Use the SERIAL NUMBER to order the *correct* MAIN BOARD.
NOTE #2
If a new MAIN BOARD has been installed---perform the EEPROM clear/reset procedure *again*. This resets the "computer" (new board).
If this is not done---it can appear that the new board is *defective* as the washer will not function properly (erratic operation).

How to diagnose and replace a defective door latch in a Frigidaire / Kenmore front loading washer
Starting yesterday with a load of heavy towels when I went to put them in the dryer I noticed they were soaking wet and weighed a ton. Obviously the machine did not kick into the spin cycle. On the next normal load of clothes it worked fine so I chalked it up to a heavy load of towels and maybe it got off balance and shut down early.
Well, now today that I'm trying to finish the laundry for the weekend it is doing it again on all loads. Needless to say I'm bummed. I put it on the Rinse/Spin cycle and watched it work. It fills with water starting with a 13minute countdown, tumbles around for a few minutes and then the pump goes to work draining all the water. All good so far but when the pump finishes draining the water with about 8 minutes left on the timer it just stops.
That is the classic door latch failure. The latch has 2 functions. The door locking in wash mode allows you to push pause and open the door right away to add clothes. The door lock in spin mode prevents you from opening the door while the drum is spinning at 1,000,000,000 RPM's so you don't get your arm ripped off. It's a good safety to have if you like to DLWI. Do Laundry While Intoxicated. You can reach down the inside front of the washer to remove the door latch. A couple screws on the front of the door to remove the latch assy. Some prefer to peel the door boot back enough to access the latch that way. It's a simple job. Here's your part: http://www.repaircli...er=417.44082400

Tips for diagnosing a no-spin problem with a Frigidaire / Kenmore front load washer
Take the back off and check all the electrical connections. Unplug and replug. Take the top off and do the same. Should be 2 or 3 screws on the back of the top panel to remove. Also check the door latch connections. The door latch failure is a common problem with these washers. To test it, put it in the spin cycle and let it go for a couple minutes. Then unplug the washer and see if the door opens right away. If it does then the door latch has failed. If it stays locked for up to a minute than the problem is elsewhere.

How to fix a Whirlpool Duet washer that leaks from the dispenser
Two times I have addressed this complaint...both times an article of clothing had somehow found its way into the funnel that directs the water into the tub from the dispenser...
gently peel back the boot at about the 11 o'clock postition and see if you can see the sock in the hole...
In no way do advocate posting without your model #, but recognized this from previous complaints!
