How to fix a Whirlpool Cabrio / Kenmore Oasis / Maytag Bravo washer that partially fills and pumps out in an endless loop

Pull the basket out and check for 2 thingss...
1) any items caught under the basket or between the basket and outer tub.
2) check the shaft abouve the tub seal for rust or build-up of soap/gunk.
If the shaft is rusted, sand it off and coat shaft with thin layer of grease. Put it back together and give it a try.
