How to access the door latch assembly in a Maytag Neptune MAH5500BWW washer to replace it

Then sing along with Doctor John..

Open the DETERGENT DISPENSER cover

Remove 4 phillips screws and pull out dispenser plastic assy

Standing in front of the washer---look at the front of the TOP COVER

There are (2) 5/16" screws that secure the top cover---through "L" shaped iron brackets. Remove both screws and the brackets.

Lift top cover
