Professor Willie calls the dance steps on this little ditty:

Not hard at all to replace.

First run the belt off the main pulley and loosen all the brake pad bolts.

Turn the transmission pulley in the spin direction while holding the transmission from turning and you can usually get the transmission pulley helix all the way up the ramp and it should stick to keep the brakes released.

Than remove the bolts from one pad, stick the new pad in and put the bolts in. Do this with all three pads.

If the transmission pulley won't lock and stay in one place with the brake released then get a helper to hold the transmission and pulley so the brake will stay released, (I've never had to have a helper, usually if you hold the transmission in place while you turn the pulley as far as it will go it will go to the top of the helix ramp and stick).

Just kind of a reach around to the rear pad bolts, you could remove the motor and pump assembly and it makes it easier but I've never had to do that.
