Mistake.

Viking was acquired by Middleby, now recently Middleby (Viking) has acquired HADCO and most of the other Viking distributors.

The company could be named Fiddlesticks Fuzzbuckets but that wouldn't change the main point made in the report: that the old Viking management, with its Neanderthal policies, had finally gone the way of the dodo bird and that Viking has come into the modern era with the new management.

 But thanks for reading!

One other thing: when you call "Viking" for technical support, you'll talk to someone at Hadco. So, from my standpoint as a tech, Viking was taken over by Hadco, I don't care what the stockholders say.

I get your point, but that's because Viking always thought that distributors should handle all of the service needs (like many other brands who use two step distibution). Hers Hadcos new website. Kinda looks like Subzero Wolf SE Distribution.

Looks eerily like a SZ-wolf distributor site!

press release

VIKING ACQUIRES HADCO AND FORMS NEW CONSOLIDATED DISTRIBUTION

On January 1, 2013, Viking Range Corporation, with annual sales of $200 million (half what they were 5 years ago) was purchased for $380 million by commercial cooking appliance juggernaut, Middleby.

Dallas, Texas (August 28, 2013) – Milestone Distributors announces a change in our sales, marketing and service portfolio, as Viking Range, LLC plans a departure to a factory direct model of distribution. Milestone will continue to promote and sell premier luxury brands Bertazzoni, U-Line, ASKO, Fhiaba, Blomberg, Alfresco, Coyote, and our Ventilation Solutions portfolio. Milestone also continues to represent ROHL and other luxury plumbing and decorative hardware products in the Milestone Water sales division.

Viking is replacing Lakeview Distribution in America’s midwest (IL, WI, MN, Eastern MO, Eastern IA and Eastern SD and ND) with it’s wholly owned distributor with the pithy name, Viking Distribution Midwest.

Viking Range, LLC, the originator of commercial-type appliances for the home, announces the realignment of distributor territories in Arizona and southern Nevada. Effective immediately, Viking Range, LLC Distribution Southwest will become the distributor serving these two markets, which were previously served by Milestone Distributors, Inc. Milestone, headquartered in Dallas, will continue to serve as the Viking distributor in New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.

No need to get upset.

No need to get upset.

Who's upset?  I mean, besides you?  wc.gif

The song remains the same, my pedantic bruvah: when I call "Viking" tech support, I talk to someone from Hadco.

So I ax you, my PR statement-quoting brother-in-The Craft:  Middleby who?   dude.gif
