  1. 2003 Maytag MAH1 Frontload Washer Washer Spin cycle creates very high noise level. Sound is even and smooth. No screeching or grinding and it seems to spin at proper speed. Everything works fine, its just the sound level, 90+ db. I suspect a bearing at the back of the tub but wanted to get some feedback before tearing into the unit, and perhaps some guidance. This has been going on for several months. Thanks in advance.

    MAYTAG ATLANTIS MAV6257AWW

Hi. I'm trying to replace the seal and bearing kit on my Maytag Atlantis MAV6257AWW washer. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get the tub nut off to do the repair. Tried soaking it with WD40 overnight, but no luck, the transmission moves when I try to get the nut off. Any way to stop the transmission from turning while I am trying to remove the tub nut? Any other ideas on how to remove the old tub nut? Please advise. Thanks.
