  1. This has probably been ask/answered before but I cant seem to find it. I have to replace the bearing seal kit (W10435302) Seeing if anyone has a nifty trick to get out a stubborn wash plate (W10077050) that refuses to come off, don't really want to cut it out if I don't have to. Thanks.
  2. I have a tap master series RO system. The water recently stopped running from the tap so I replaced the filters, no luck still so I replaced the RO membrane still nothing...I have found that water is running into and out of the carbon filter, sediment filter and the RO membrane from there it runs into (and please excuse my lack of knowledge of the part names) what looks like a valve that has two ins and outs (one out goes to the tank) but nothing is coming out of this part and running into the tank...Any help would be greatly appreciated!
  3. This unit complaint is warm freezer compartment, & fresh food side is cool.    Can find no data for thermistor values. First recorded temps with unit left overnight undisturbed.   FC is 58 degrees  RC is 49 degree.   Put into diagnostics thermistors pass.  All fans run.  compressor has head temp of 116 degrees & running.  3 way valve seems to be working, can hear it switching.   Test number 56 gives me a ice maker code of E0.    The IM has the water disconnected & IM turned off because the client had the authorised Whirlpool servicer out there on several occasions trying to repair the leaking IM.   They do not want the PCM back out.   I turn off the unit let the compressor run turn it off & immediately turn it back on several times in which compressor kicks right in. Next I go to test # 4 again & let it run its 10 minute cycle a few times consecutively where the last several minutes the valve opens for freezer for most of duration of test cycle.   No change in either compartment temperatures.   At 58 degrees I did not look at the 'frost pattern' believe that would be a waste of time.   This is a known whirlpool sealed service problem where whirlpool condemns this units after reporting temps & ice maker errors.   I condemn this unit also.   Customer has called whirlpool previously and were informed that the unit is out of warrantee (2 years old).   I instruct them to call whirlpool  again & report my findings.  Make a big fuss & ask for the next supervisor up the chain.  And next & next, squeaky wheel gets grease.   Client called me later in day & informed me WP wants to send out an  "authorised tech"   at her expense.   She does not want that yahoo back out.  But she told me she purchased the unit with a visa card that guaranteed her purchase for 3 years.  She wants me to put in writing that unit can not be repaired,  that is the catch.   We know sealed systems can be repaired to some extent sometimes usually at a steep cost.  Whirlpool knows the  evaporator problems and have condemned  units in the past.   The bastards (for lack of better word) are just adding insult to injury by requiring the hack to preform service.   i am preparing to go on record with the credit company saying that the repair is not economically feasible although I do not do sealed system work.   I am asking for all opinions on this matter.  Thank you   Patricio
  4. This one is driving me crazy (er).  So I run diagnostics and I get heat at the final step (heated drying) - The element gets hot.  So I run a load (HD, Light any one) and NO HEAT from the element during WASH.  I replaced the combo Thermistor/Turbidity Sensor - No change.  Replace the Control Board - Still NO HEAT during WASH.  Run Diags again - Heat during DRY cycle. I am lost with this one, the customer hates me big time.  Here is the complete list of things I replaced in sequence - Thermistor/Turbidity Sensor (I got an open on the Thermistor portion) - Thermistor/Turbidity Sensor (Replaced Again - No change) - Control Board (Hail Mary) Any one experience this?  Could the Thermistor Part STILL be bad again?   Thanks in advance,  -henry
  5. With lid closed, only rinse and spin cycles run OK.  Won't start with dial any other position.   thanks.
  6. we had to disassemble a 642 yesterday to but in basement we removed both compressors and condensor we reassembled and installed new driers the freezer side was fine but the fridge side went into a vacuum about 10inches then it slowly started to coming out i unplugged condensor fan motor and left door open and the pressure rose to about 20-25 and the whole evap got frosty all the way back to the heat exchanger  so then we but back together and it went back to about 5 inches of  vacuum but climbed back to -2 is this normal would the pressure and continued to climb as it continued to run i am under the impression it would have and my coworker doesnt think it would have Then we just dumped the charge and recharged and didnt leave gauges on this time just really want to know for my piece of mind

  9. Hi.  The securing tabs have failed on the grommet that makes the seal between the upper wash arm and the rear water inlet, and it keeps falling off.  I'd like to buy just the grommet, but it looks like it is only available with the entire upper wash arm.  Is that correct?  I really don't want to pay ~$65 for that grommet!   Cheers, Gary Looks like this part might also be called the tube gasket.

  14. Have a Kssp36qhs00 Had the Compressor replaced a few years ago, low in R134A. I charged the up and alsa low again. I ran a leak dye in the system, checked with a black light and not able to locate the leak. The units frost pattern is only frost on the top of the evaporator. Has anyone seen this issue before and if a leak is unable to be located is is possible that its a heat exchanger or drain loop that's the suspect? I have not had the pleasure of replacing either of these components any suggestions or tips on how to replace these without burning down the house while brazing?   Thanks   Ken AtCher Service
  15. Dishwasher was working normally.  Then would not start.  When press Normal Wash, the light would blink 150 x per minute continuously. The cancel button would work and cancel the blinking.  The only other button that would work is the Sani Wash button.  It would remain on constantly for about 1 minute and then the light would go out.  All other buttons would not work, and none of the buttons would allow the dishwasher to start. I tried to get into the Diagnostic Mode by toggling between Heated Dry - Normal 4x over 5 seconds.  I also tried several other combinations of buttons to get into the Diagnostic Mode but was unsuccessful. The Control Panel Lock light was not on.  I tried to turn the Lock on and off and was unsuccessful I tried to turn the Power off at the fuse box for 20 min and this did not help I Checked the door switches.  They worked easily and clicked normally.  The was no short when they were engaged - I checked this with an ohmmeter I visually inspected the electronic control board and found no burn marks. 24. The timer knob when pushed in to select the wash cycle does not turn the timer knob bezel (wash cycle knob).  One has to manually turn the wash cycle knob to select the desired cycle.  I've replaced the timer knob and timer knob bezel, both had cracks which appears to be the result of pushing into to hard to engage the wash cycle.  In addition, I cannot remove the timer knob or bezel without having to access the timer shaft and holding the shaft and then spin off the knobs.   My next move is a new timer.  Any suggestions?   Thank you.   Paul
  25. not sure if anyone has had this but customer recorded a grinding noise with his iPhone  while washer was in wash cycle i could not reproduce noise/problem anyone have any ideas?
