  1. GE Profile Oven JGSP48BH3BB

Hello everyone.  I am trying to fix error code F7 for a GE oven range, but I cant figure out how to get the control panel off this thing.  There are 7 bolts under the panel which I tried taking off, but the panel is still firmly in place.  From the look of things I may need to remove the entire top part of the range and burners, which have screws that are very likely rusted through and will need drilling.  Before I get into that I was hoping someone here might know an easier solution.  I was unable to find any resources online on how to take off this front panel.   Any help would be much appreciated.   This is the panel and this is the range
  2. I'm working on a Whirlpool double wall oven (WOD93EC0AS00) that shuts for about 1or 2 seconds maybe once or twice while cooking. Everything will shut off then come back on and continue cooking as if nothing happen. While this happens there is no serge or voltage sag that I could detect at the terminal block. I thought it might be the card getting to hot, but I wouldn't think it would just come back and continue on if that was the case. Any ideas?

  12. First time post! I've got a Kenmore Electric Range #790.92109010; I'm guessing around 8 years old. I just noticed a rather high pitched soft noise during preheat (400*), and once it reached the desired temp, the oven kept on clicking on and off (much more than normal...every 5-10 seconds). I noticed that the oven power light kept on clicking on and off as well.  The stovetop seems to do something similar; working fine if it is turned on high, but quickly cutting on and off (faster than usual) during heating (medium low heat).  The clock and other functions seem to work fine. I took the back off to check for any loose wiring to power cord or operating board; all looks in good condition. The only thing I have done to it recently is reattach the display when it broke off. Thoughts? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
  13. WTW6500WW1

WP Cabrio WTW6500WW1 - I'm looking for the part number for the ferrite kit.  I found the installation sheet #W10387910 on service matters, but no part number.  I'd like to help this customer, between two different warranty companies, in the last five years, they've installed 3 main boards & 4 display boards.      I ran the call today & the display board is possessed.  Thank you for helping this poor old woman do her laundry in peace.

  16. Returned to the dryer to find it running, clothes dry, clothes not warm. Lint screen was loaded with lint. Timer was still in original time setting.  Cleaned out lint  in preparation for next load. The dryer would not start no noise, nothing.  I did rush out to buy a new thermal fuse before the dealer closed up. Came home and figured I would trouble shoot and learn my way around this repair before simply swapping out the thermal fuse. Thermal Fuse, Push to Start Switch, Door Switch and Thermostat all tested positive (continuity) while isolated. I made a jumper wire lead with alligator clips and decent old extension cord. Drum Motor and Timer Unit (in turn) operated normally while receiving power straight from 120v outlet. Timer Unit tested positive for continuity at black to blue prongs, but at brown to tan prongs, did not make it all the way over to zero on my analog multimeter. Good grief...starting over, I bypassed the thermal fuse by fixing together both blue wire terminal with a thin bit of tape stretched around both. Set the timer, pushed start and it started right up with good heat. I tested the old thermal fuse again and still shows good. At this point, the heck with trying to save ten bucks on the fuse, out came the new fuse. Hooked it to the blue wires, NOTHING. It will only run if the fuse is bypassed. Please help! Thanks, Therm

  23. I haven't seen to much on these icemaker so I figured I would start. If anyone knows a good info source I would appreciate it. OK, here goes.  Icemaker has been leaking and when I got to this one I  couldn't even remove the icebucket. We agreed I would return after giving some time to thaw. After thawing I wasn't able to harvest using the TH jumper, so I checked for voltage. No voltage at T or H when checking both to ground. No voltage when checkin g from T-H either. I entered diagnostics and went to step 25 (icemaker fill test, see tech sheet) and checkde for voltage at T-H and now the 120V was present. I tried again a few times in both normal and diagnostics...same result. Also, the icemaker is less than a year old. Customer said he installed it himself. I can see the evidence also. He tore up the plastic cover for the harness and broke the retainer tab on the side of the icemaker. So I do believe he changed it, LOL.   So long story short, why can I harvest only in diagnostic and not in normal ? I'M part number is W10377151. Thanks for any info on this.
  24. WED6200SW1 model cabrio dryer. Stopped running, was displaying F01 error code in diagnostic mode. Checked all the connections to the main board, everything looked okay so I replaced it. Still would not work, can't remember the new code but research suggested I replace the control interface. That didn't help either. Now the dryer will power on but wil not run. In normal mode, when you press the start button the "sensing" light comes on. In dianostic mode -- door tests ok (beeps when opened and closed), moisture sensor tests ok (beep when connected by one finger). After the "88" appears, when I press the same button used to put it into diagnostic mode, I get "Pr" followed by "23". When I press the START button in diagnostic mode, I get code "C5". I can't find any documentation on these wacky codes anywhere. I was planning to step through the troubleshooting (on the tech sheet) to see if I can track it down. Any suggestions or shortcuts?
