I have a heat pump with a ranco e15 defrost control , with the little white dial marked 30 45 90.
how do you set the defrost time?

Hey,

You set the timer to the time you want it to defrost. Set on 90 it will defrost every 90 minutes,45 every, every 45 min and so on.If your condensor is turning into a block of ice then you would set it to a lower number. This will help to keep it from freezing up.But remember when you do this, your heat pump will go into ac mode until defrost is completed, that's how it works.Hope this works for you.
