I have a Whirlpool Dryer Model #LE5650XMW1.  It stopped blowing hot air about a month ago.  I installed a new one-time fuse, thermo kit (two thermos on heat element cover), and a new heating element and it worked great (again) for about 30 days.  Then, without warning, it stopped blowing hot air again.  I jumped the one-time fuse to see if the heating element would work again to no avail.  Any suggestions on what may be the problem now?

check the thermal fuse. it's on the fan housing. also check your vent for airflow, thermal fuse goes because of heat buildup due to blockage of air flow.

Believe the thermofuse on the vent housing would kill the motor in an electric dryer, suggest using your volt meter to see where you have lost voltage to the element, might want to make sure you have 240 volts to the dryer terminal block...

take your meter and check continuity through the white fuse on the back of this dryer. if it is open, or no continuity, then you need to replace again. but you need to check to see if it is blowing adequate air out the back. if so, the check your house vent. the most common failure of that themal fuse is hot air backing up into the dryer and eventually pogging that thermostat. does it take a while to dry? do you hear a bumping noise after the dryer stops or even during operation?

There is no blockage...airflow is fine.  For some reason the air isn't hot because the heating element won't come on.

Is the thermal fuse you reference, the one below/near the one-time fuse?  The wires from this run to the heating element?  If so, this is the only thermo I didn't replace.  What would be the correct part number for this item (for my dryer)?

He replaced the element fuse and safety thermostat and heating element...according to what I am reading. now no heat again...the white thermofuse on the vent housing on this dryer would kill the motor so the unit would be dead....believe he said it is blowing cold air.  Need to trace the heat circuit back from the heating element to see where the voltage has been lost...

Thanks.  It does take a while to dry (even after replacing the last group of parts), but I completely cleaned out the entire vent system and I have good airflow at the exhaust.  Also, no bumping noises during or after dryer stops.

you didnt get that vent completely cleaned out. thats why you blew that tstat again and why its taking too long to dry.  does the vent run through the roof or side wall? how long is the vent? how did you attempt to clean it the first time?

Ok, looks like gereric parts not OEM....now which one are you saying you did not replace as you show to have replaced the thermofuse on the dryer vent housing that would cause the dryer to go dead if it went bad, and the fuse and high limit safety on the element canister...these are the only fuses on the back of the dryer...see if the new fuse above the safety on the side of the canister is bad again, I have seen them fail, those generic ones, within two weeks....
