Hi.  This is my first post and it's an important one!  :)

My husband and I are ready to purchase a new washer and dryer.  My old set is a Maytag, purchased 18 years ago.  Not once have I had to have any service on the washer.  We thought because our old Maytags were so great, we'd purchase new Maytags but from what I'm learning, new Maytags aren't very good.  We were about ready to purchase the Maytag Atlantis but have read three opinions elsewhere that were totally negative.

May I please have suggestions as to what the best brand is these days?

Thanks!

Donna

The direct drive washer with the Whirlpool/KitchenAid, Roper/Estate name on them and be sure the matching dryer has the lint filter on the top, not down in the dryer after you open the door.
