Hello Master Samurai and Appliantologist:

I have a 1-1/2 year old Kenmore elite 7.5 CF Electric Dryer.  Worked fine for almost a year then began to beep one set of three beeps ( when it totally finishes it beeps three sets of three ).  All ducting from the lint screen throughout to the outlet on the outside of the house has been checked and was clean.  Heating is fine.  When the beep happens the timer moves fairly fast to the wrinkle gaurd position.  You must switch the dryer to the off position and the reset to desired time and then restart.  Sometimes this happen multiple times in a drying or sometimes not at all ( more oft than not ).  Any ideas on what may cause this problem?  :bathead:I feel that I will soon take my samurai sword to the machine!

I await any knowledge the masters can bestow upon the grasshopper.

sounds like it may be a thermister failure

Yep, replace the thermister and/or check the wiring harness and connections to the thermister.

Ahhhh, one of the culprits I read about but wasn't sure.  Domo Arigato!  Wise ones. :D
