My trusty 20+yr old beer chiller has recently acted up on me for the first time. I recently noticed that it was getting warmer in the fridge and the freezer section had totally melted. After being in the garage as a spare for many years, I cleaned all the debris from the underside with my trusty and powerful air compressor. I checked to see that there was no blockage  in any of the airflow areas and also noted that the fan in the top area is working as is the lower fan in the bottom rear. I plugged it back in and within 24 hrs it is working fine again. Very cold beers in fridge and yet unmelted ice in freezer.

Only problem now is that it is running constantly. Any suggestions on what I should try to replace 1st? I'm thinking a thermostat , but need some reliable confirmation before laying out the dough for a non-refundable part.

Any shared wisdom in this area would be greatly appreciated, as my electric supplier already owns half of what i earn.lol

MODEL is HOTPOINT CTF18EVG
Thanks,

Sully

Start with the diagnostics on this page.  Post your preliminary findings and we'll go from there.
