Refrigerator was bought new in Feburary 2005.  Ice started tasting funny and odd smell a week ago.  Cleaned freezer and fridge side of unit.  Dumped all the ice and cleaned the ice bin.   No change in taste or odor.  Replaced the under freezer door water filter.   We ran 2-3 gallons of water through the water dispenser after installing new filter and dumped the first 5 batches of ice made.  We still have the same off taste and odor to the ice only.   Ice made with regular tap water tastes fine and no odor.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Something is bad wrong in ice land in your ref. Call for waranty service and have them fix this smelly situation since it is in warranty??  Would assume it is not in the water supply to the box since the water thru the water disp. is ok?

Yes the water from the dispenser tastes fine no weird taste or odor.  Model is still under warranty.

If you are not finding any dead, moldy things lurking in the frig. as the air recirculats from the freezer to the food compartment and back into the freezer, taking all odors with it,  which could get into the ice, then let the ones who made this frig repair the odor problem
