I have a 4 year old Maytag dishwasher, MDB71000AWW, that has developed a problem. It fills by itself overnight. When it does this it seems to be filling to the point that it leaks. It just started doing this after I replaced the hot water heater in the house.
Before I remove the trim to get underneath it I was wondering if there is something I should try.

You may be interested to know that on occasion after water heaters have been replaced there can be a good deal of sediment in the hot water lines. It is a good idea to flush all hot water lines before you use any appliances with the new water heater as the sediment can collect on the water inlet valve screens.
