I have an unusual problem and I am not sure what to do or replace. It all started when i was getting water in my Ice cube bin catcher as well as ice cubes. It is an Amana Refrig with a top freezer and a modular Ice Maker. I have run tests like I have found on several forum sites, and when I start the motor, it cycles all the way through but when it starts to fill up the dispenser with water, there are small sparks and a burning smell. Then the water overflows. I took the module apart and noticed burning around the water fill contacts. Is it possible that there is too much voltage to the module or is the module just going bad. By the way I did change the water valve and the same problem occures. Any suggestions?

Yep, better off replacing the whole icemaker:
