I have a "Holiday" dishwasher, model # lud2100x-3. I've been searching for some help online, but most of the sites I usually use don't list Holiday as a brand. My problem is related to the detergent dispenser. It doesn't spring open properly, which causes about half of the detergent to get stuck in the cup. There is a spring on the door that is loose.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Holiday,  you should be enjoying the holiday,   Your model is pretty basic,  you should have a spring and pin on the door,  if the pin is broken,  this could be your problem.   Make sure that when you are loading,  nothing is blocking the despensor.   Another problem could be not enough hot water to dissove the detergent.  Check these all out and see what you come up with.   Your part # for the spring is 300106 and the pin is 300115...you can get them at this site if you need them...Ron

I have the same spring on a Kenmore Elite 665 Dishwasher. It no longer "springs" the detergent door open. The spring seems to be intact but I am not sure if the ends that stick out should be longer. In any event, the spring certainy is not putting tension on the door so that it will "pop" open when the latch is actuated.

Any ideas?
