My Kenmore Elite dryer will not stay on after the start button is pushed.  One of your posts traced the trouble to a heat control board, but after taking the control panel apart, I could not find the board described.  I did find a much smaller circuit board that was designated  "electronic dryness control board", located on the left side of the panel next to the timer control knob.  This circuit board is priced at $111.  Is there some test to make sure the board is the culprit?  The dryer is a Kenmore Elite model # 110.63022100 and is about 4 yrs old.  Any help wil be greatly appreciated.

You have a tech Sheet and wiring diagram inside the control console. Post them here or fax them to me at 775-416-4449.

I do not see that this dryer has this even heat board, just the ATC board, that advances the timer. This sounds more like you have a bad motor if the motor hums when you push the start switch  but stops humming when it is released. Or you have something that has the blower wheel jammed keeping the motor from turning.
