my kenomore dryer doesnt tumble!?1 HELP

My kenmore ddryer doesnt tumble, its heats and everything, but wont spin.  I put my wet sneakers in there with the laces on them, then it stopped spinning?  what could it have done?

Check the idler pulley when you are in there. For a few years whirlpool used a slide pad instead of a wheel on the idler. The slide pad was a high failure part and is no longer used.

Whirlpool (and kenmore)   part# 691366 is the part you want in there, belt is part# 341241
