With the great help of all you fine folks, my supreme headache Kenmore (GE) will be leaving our household shortly!! Can I ask for some reccommendations?? We've been looking at Whirlpools-they have some nice features and what about the imports like LG?? Our new one will be a side X side. Thank you in advance!! Pete

I prefer Whirlpool. Actually, Kitchenaid would be better. Yes, they're made by Whirlpool but you're dealing with a different division within the company and they handle customer warranty issues with a higher level of service.

The LGs are slick-looking but I'm starting to see weird, glitchy problems with 'em.
