I pulled the machine away from the wall to repair a problem with the stand pipe and then pushed the machine back into place.  I failed to level the machine before running it again, and now it makes a horrid screaching noise in all phases of opperation.

My only thought is that it sounds like a fan belt on a car that is slipping or the sound of a power steering system run dry.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx,

Mark

I saw some (many) black specks around the base of the unit after I pulled the front panel off, but I'm not qualified to determine if the belt is bad just by looking at it from that position.  I know that I'm one to over investigate something so sometimes I wait to see what a pro has to say.  Thanx for being willing to help
