From the tremendous amount of useful information found on this web site we understand that most likely our problem stems from poor electrical connections between the CCU and the wiring harnesses that attaches the door switch/lock unit.
We have the highest confidence that we can correct the problem if we obtained a set of electrical schematics and a service repair manual for this unit. Please send a .pdf file.
Kenmore Elite HE3t Model 110.45972 400 Front Loading Automatic Washer.
Several action items already tried:
Remove the three torx sheet metal screws located in the back of machine allows removal of the top cover, gaining access to the CCU and wiring harnesses.
Checked for broken, frayed, loose, corroded wires and connections.
Thanks in advance for the help, and have a great beer day.

Do as Samurai instructs, but also, while you have the CCU open and are cleaning the connections as specified, also put a dab of vaseline on each of the connections to keep the oxidation from building up again.Open the CCU and clean the oxidation off all those connections with alcohol swabs, or a pink eraser. Reseat the harness connectors and take it for a drive.
And you really don't need the service manual or to figure this out, it's also not going to tell you or instruct you on opening the CCU, the manufacture would rather you spend a bunch of money and replace it!!!
