One time door leak from GE GSD6900J diswasher

2 posts in this topic

I have had this dishwasher for two years and have been exceptionally pleased with it. On one load about a month ago there was water dripping from the door. I verified that there was no food lodged in the seals or utensils pressing against them. I put a bowl under the door (both sides) and finished the load. I have not had leak problems on any subsequent loads. I remain puzzled to the cause of that mystery leak.

The only remotely plausible explanation that I have come up with is that something was loaded in the rack in such a way as to splash the door where it normally wouldn't be splashed. For instance, water squirted up in a place where it normally would only drain down. However, even this is hard to imagine. Can someone offer up another explanation?

That'll do it. So would a piece of gookus stuck in the spray arm that worked itself out or using the dishwashing liquid soap instead of dishwasher detergent.
