The machine will not spin the motor is good but I get no voltage on the 6 pin on pins 5 and 6. I have checked the wires they all look intact and secure. This leads me to the Door switch, is the a procedure for testing the switch before I order one.

Checking the door switch is a cinch... if you know which wires to check it on. Post the wiring diagram for your washer and I'll be able to tell you.

GSTR1670AS0 Wiring Diagram
Pin 5 conects directly to the Line cord Neutral.
Pin 6 comes from the Line-Switch-Pull-ON and the Door Switch
