All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological.
We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, April 27 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.
      Where: Online via Zoom
      How:
Click here to go to the forum topic with the registration link. If you're interested, register now. Arrive a couple minutes early to make sure your connection is working. Set a reminder for yourself for this workshop so you don’t miss it.  And check out past workshops here: https://appliantology.org/announcement/33-webinar-recordings-index-page/

Bake and/or Broil ? ...

but it lights OK ?

Bake only. Broil flame is large and wide. Bake flame is tiny, just along edges of burner.

All stove flames OK.

Oven bake burner lights, but takes a little extra time so there is a smell of gas. Then takes a long time to get up to temp.

if you could measure the Ignitor current .... (or swap them)

it's in series with the Gas Valve and needs at least 2.8+ amps to open ...

do you have or need the Service Manual ?

kinda high ...

Norton (flat)  3.2A to 3.6A

Carborundum (round) 2.5A to 3.0A

OK.

I didn't think it was the ignitor because the flame still lit. So having it "kinda high" can make it open just a bit?

Now, because of my assumption, I have to replace put the orifice hood back on. To get the proper adjustment I put it on until snug and the back it off 1-1/2 turns?

I don't know ... may be in the service manual ..

Ok. Now at 3.2 to 3.4 amps. But I promise it did read that high.

Takes 1-1/2 turns to tighten to snug to LP according to conversion so it must be the same back to Natural Gas.

Anyway, what shall I look at next?

sorry, I don't know ... I'm more of an electrical guy ..

it varies ... it starts at about 400 OHMS and lowers resistance as it heats up to eventually draw 3.0 amps  (40 OHMS)

(what's needed for the Gas valve to open) and at which time it would be HOT ! to ignite that gas.

Not as complicated as a Dryer Ignitor and the twin coils (3 windings) Gas Valves.
