Frigidaire Refrigerator Model # FRT18TPHW0
Age is just under 5 years. Removed back freezer panel , Ball of Ice around capillary tube, the rest of the evaporator coils are clean , no ice or frost. Evaporator Fan runs great. Compressor runs all the time. Evaporator coils are cold next to the capillary tube but the rest of the coils do not get cold... Defrost heater is not on as it is cool to the touch..
Is this a compressor failure as described in the Kenmore topic ? Bought in spring of 2000. Have 1 month left on the mfg. warranty if it is. Is there a way to be sure ?
thanks,

Beavus called the ball on this one. You've had a sealed system failure. Do you really care what the exact problem? Or do you just want your fridge to get cold again? and do you want an expensive repair done under warranty? If you answered "no" to the first question and "yes to the latter two, then you need to get off the computer right now and get on the phone to Friggidaire to get your fridge fixed taco-pronto.Call the M.F.ing Mfr B4 the Warranty runs out.
