No Cold Water

7 posts in this topic

Started a load of laundry today and found that there was hardly any  flow of cold water. I switched to hot and got a flow although not as much as usual. Is this a water inlet valve problem or a temperature switch problem? How do I know which it is?

Whirlpool Toploader Washer LLR6144BQ0...........Normally if the temperature switch is bad you will not get any water at all, so I would suspect your fill valve is going out and you need to replace this part.

Thanks a million Pegi! I started to take the back off and realized after four screws that it was going to be a lot of work. I will tackle this job tomorrow!
