Last appliance that I know isn't up to par in my new home.

The ice that comes out of the door area flies everywhere.  Is there supposed to be a tube or something attached to the front of this unit?

We put the cup right up to the lip and it is cumbersome to push to get water and ice and still ice flies everywhere.  There must be some type of attachment that is missing?

Thanks.

Make sure the flapper door is closing between use (item 7). If not, it can create lumps of ice that can eject in unbehaved ways.

Compare your dispenser with the parts shown in that diagram.

Looks like I have all the parts.  Water also squirts out.  It is not a simple push dispenser and unless you hold the cup completely to the dispenser things shoot out.  There doesn't appear to be any front peice that narrows what is dispensed (hope this makes sense).

Thanks.
