nonstop Posted February 28, 2010 Author Share Posted February 28, 2010 Found it, and found the 55 stamped on the orifice after cleaning. Good with that. New issue. The broiler fired up and then makes small popping sounds before one big pop and then jet blows down the vent tube in IR box. Burns a lot louder than I remember. Gas is all burning however it think air low mix off? I checked and the shutter that should be in place for LP conversion is in place as well? OK looked some other forms on this issue. I would say symptoms similar to [user=53635]vee8power[/user]Discribed a few weeks ago with IR burner. Thought, could i have "cleaned" orifice to well making opening to large? I looked at the screen and it didn't seem that bad. Also could this still be igniter issue?Could igniter be to close (1/4 inch) from IR screen be issue? Gas ignites in tube and not on screen surface?
