Product was approved by Energy Star without a review of the company Web site or questions of the claimed efficiencies.

Reminds me of the countertop dishwasher, which required no electricity at all, just hook the fill hose to the sink and it sprays water on the dishes and you can still use hand dishwashing detergent in it, and you have to drain it manually.

well at least that program is just about energy usage

we have a abused useless program up here in canada, the gun registry

On March 1, 2002, Brian Buckley of Manitoba was issued with a Registration Certificate for his Black & Decker/Weller, 110 Volt AC soldering gun.  The gurus in the gun registry identified it as a “Non-Restricted” firearm and gave it a “Firearm Identification Number”.

They get full pardons up here ! it was just announced in the media that a Junior Hockey coach who was accused of, and plead guilty to; sexual offences directed toward young players in his care; was granted a full pardon for his offences! Presently, his whereabouts are unknown, one can only hope he will surface somewhere that does not support a gun registry, and meet proper justice
