Timer on dryer won't shut off.

It drys fine. Vents are clear. timer moves, but once it gets to the off position it stays there and never actually cuts off the dryer. All I have to do is manaully move the timer a hair and it turns off. Not sure what to try.
It's a kenmore soft-heat, model 86874100.
