Bosch dishwasher model SHU3030.Timer sometimes stops half way through cycle. Dish washer keeps washing with no advancing of the timer. The water temperature gradually cools the longer it runs. Checked heating element resistance (approx. 12 ohms) as I understand the timer stops until temperature reaches 135 F. on regular temperature wash.

Cut power, open the control panel and open the plastic case to the control board. If you see a burnt solder connection, that's the problem. Sometimes, it can be repaired. Other times, you gotta replace the board with a new one.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I opened the control panel and checked the connections there and could find no problems. Not sure what I was looking at was the control board. The three temp selector switches have a small printed cicuit board and it looked good but it does not have any solder conections. Could the problem be in the timer or one of the temperature sensors? As this is a intermitant problem could it be a bad contact in the timer? On th plus side washing dishes by in the sink my hands have never been so clean.

When you opened the control panel, there was a white plastic box on the right hand side. The control board is inside that box. You have to really want to open that box 'cuz they don't make it convenient. THAT's the board I'm talking about that you need to check.
