Before the defrost cycle starts, the beer section gets warm, like up to 55 degrees, sometimes warmer before defrost cycle kicks in.  Is this normal?  Ice cream section o.k.  The difuser was replaced 6 months ago but a month later this started and I had hoped it would fix itself. Also weird is the fridge doesn't shut off like before when it went into defrost.  Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance.:?

25ssa model # 106.52552100....You have something very wrong with this frig, it is a Whirlpool made box.  Something is very wrong...see if the defrost heater is staying on in the cooling mode also???  The box should be dead except for the light in the defrost mode.

thanks for your quick reply.  LIght in beer section goes off when door closes.  Had to lose some weight before door would close. Ha! Also checked to make sure of full defrost.  Ripped off evaporator cover and yes, the coils are completely defrosted.  Checked to make sure the heater coil is not on all the time.  Seems fine.  Looks like I have to change the control board.  I'm gonna change the defrost thermostat at the same time cause it's cheap enough.  Get back to you on the results.  Once again, thanks alot.
