I have a new LG fridge, side by side, water/ice maker, internal water filter. Model LRSC26922TT. SxS.
Every hour or so about 1 cup of water pours out of the water dispenser. And it doesn't make any ice. And it only does it when the ice maker switch is turned on.
I'm sure the water that is supposed to pour into the ice maker is pouring out of the water dispenser instead. But why? Are the hoses messed up, or is there some valve that is stuck to one side or the other, or is this a computer problem?
When my wife first told me the fridge was leaking I decided to check it out. So I stuck my face right under the water dispenser to see if it was leaking. Right then the fridge took a leak right on my face!

It is an open-box model that we purchased yesterday. Supposedly it was "never used", just returned by original purchasers because it wouldn't fit in their kitchen.

Don't do anything to this refrigerator-- call for warranty service. If they can't get out in a timely fashion, return it for a refund.

I'll give them a call. Unfortunately we don't want to return it 'cause we got such a great deal on it since it was open-box with scratches, and we couldn't find another for so cheap. So hopefully they'll come out quickly and fix it. In the meantime, we turned off the ice maker, and now it stopped leaking on the floor.

if it has water and ice through door reversing the wires on the water valve should take care of it when the icemaker is calling for water it is opening the valve for the water dispenser
