This icemaker has long been out of production and GE has moved on to the crescent cube icemaker; it's latest incarnation is the hoary IM6.

Even if you do get it apart, (NOTE FOR Mopar: Which you can do without the special seal remover tool, you just use the end of the ejector lift arm to remove the seal), you will not be able to reassemble correctly without the seal installer tool, it compresses the silver metal holding ring up into the icemaker seal cavity and holds everything in correctly.
Here's the kit you need WR29x144 CLICK HERE
The problem, you can't get the seal installer tool anymore according to RepairClinic: see note (*Washer removal and seal install tools no longer available from GE). I do think you can still get them from after market manufactures but can't tell you where, (I don't remember), and the install tool I believe cost around $15.00 also when I bought one about 10 years ago.
Ok, I did some research and RepairClinc actually sales the installer tool under the generic aftermarket manufactures #.
Here it is: TB220 $23.50 (special order-not in stock) CLICK HERE

Hi Willie
I knew about using the end of the ejector lift arm trick but was trying to keep it simple

I left the original seals in place, but coated them with axle grease and slid it all back into place.
Think he might be having a little petroleum with his drinks now????
