The wash cycle does not push water through the jets.  There is no error on the screen and the timer continues to count down.  When the cycle is cancelled the water is discharged from the dishwasher.

Please advise on how to proceed and what to check.

You can check the wash impeller to make sure it's not jammed (diagram).

Odds are that the wash motor is burned out, seen this alot on this dishwasher. Fortunately, it's a pretty easy repair. Part link: CLICK HERE.

After looking into the part, the impeller was stuck.  Being quick to cancel and not trying to run the dishwasher may have saved me the repair for today.
