You need to be able to read your customers to know which path to take
For example, at least 10 times a year in winter I get a call for an oven not working due to the fact that they are trying to heat their home with the oven...obviously these type of customers you have to be direct with and explain (in a way they will understand) the consequences that could result by this type of behavior.
I've seen a 3 year old standing on an oven door (while ovens on to heat the house) and fried chicken cooking on top.....anti tip device you say? No not in this area...only seen about 3 installed in the past 20 years.
These type of customer make up about 30 % of gross business in my area
Just got to be able to communicate effectively with your customer.
