its a new year with the same old problems.

the tempermental viking is acting up again. i think i have seen this problem before. oven will not light. ignitor glows red but no gas is flowing so oven will not light. i think i need a new ignighter even though it still 'seems to work."

question??? what makes the gas begin to flow???

ur humble follower. forever learning new things.

The glow Ignitor must draw at least 3.0 amps before the Gas Safety Valve (in series) will open.

Glow Ignitors wear out, because they are IN the hot Oven,

and, they need to glow, anytime the Gas is flowing (Valve is "open")
