All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.
Who: This workshop is only available to tech members at Appliantology.
When: Saturday, March 30 @10:00 AM Eastern Time.

Website and forums is pretty confusing

2 Years ago I had no issue getting from the Fixitnow.com website to the forums. It made a lot of sense and the links were very clear. Everything seemed cohesive. However, now the FixItNow website is cluttered and poorly organized and even getting from the FixItNow site to the forums is confusing. If I hadn't had good luck in the past using the site I would have never bothered trying to figure out how to navigate to the Forums. I think the old site design was better and more humble. Now it just seems to a cluster of Google Ads and poor site design.

I say this because I told a couple coworkers that I have good luck in the past on your site and they couldn't figure out the site. Then I navigated to the site and realized that it is now extremely confusing.

I can't say I disagree with the poster, as I am from a totally archaic background and ain't too 'puter savvy - It was the ease of the way the old site worked that kept me there. being a regular user, I was aware the change was coming and admit I was quite confused at first and really had to check things more closely at first. Now that I'm used to it I can assure you that it is much more functional that the previous version and for those of us who use it regularily is much more efficient. I still find the background too "white" though, and have to limit my time reading it .

Sounds like he's complaining about my blog, Fixitnow.com. The only change I've made there in the past two years is 1) the logo and 2) the homepage is now a static getting-started page vs. the latest blog posts.
