I had a Kenmore dishwasher call that the unit was DOA. Found an open fuse that clips on to the controller. Replaced it, tested and it worked fine. Customer called back and said she used it once and it died. When I opened it, looks like it didnt even get past the first cycle. (water on bottom and soap still in a closed dispenser)

Kitchen Aid schematic said that if the fuse burns out twice, "replace the harness?" I did that with a KA dishwasher and it still gave us issues. Now this Kenmore is doing it... What causes this? controller stuck on heat?

Thank you in advance for any help

No sir. However, here is my question... I inspected the last harness and didn't see any problems. Do you know what it is that causes the fuse to open? (Sorry, I am one of those people that wants to know why it causes the issue)

I believe it may be caused by excessive heat on the Fuse Terminals,
caused by bad / defective / over-stressed copper composition Terminals on the Harness Plug.
Should always use the new Harness included with the new Fuse.

AH! thank you very much... so looks like we are getting her a new harness as well as the other customer. Yes, I did use the fuse that came with the harness on the last one, however it still died. Home warranty company is sending out a 3rd opinion on that one. Board, harness, interface were all changed out... still dying out. I was the 2nd opinion.
