As much as I like the incentive, it's still not near enough to get me to sign up for psy-op television programming!

Yes every tech should, & I do!
Not in customers homes of course!
But it has a special place next to my toolbag in my service truck.
It's legal here where I live & work.
It's also legal to carry in public as long as it is visible on you.
Ive never done that, but then again I've never walked into WalMart
holding a ball peen hammer either.
After all a firearm is nothing more THAN a tool itself!

It makes sense. Their sales were down because most of their customers probably believe the government can spy on them through a tv satellite dish. Giving them a gun makes them feel a bit more comfortable in the purchase. Of course that begs the question: Do we really want to place guns in the hands of _______? (what?... Who me?....No, I didn't make a politically or socially inflammatory comment. After all, I let you fill in the blank)

I love Americans!. But we are still a young country and just like a young creature, we like to show our muscles and take pride in the fact that we can kick butt. As we mature as a nation, being the biggest and baddest will be of lesser concern. Speaking of being the biggest, those citizens in the picture certainly do not portray us in the best light. Then again, they are big enough to block out all forms of light...except maybe a pepsi lite.....oh yeah, a bud lite .. looks like a large pepperoni pizza with extra meat and cheese with light sauce..and let's not forget, "news" lite.

The esteem in which I hold our fellow citizens in our democracy can be summarized in four simple soundbites.
"What a Country!" "Only in America." "How 'bout them Cowboys!" and "Cocaine is a helluva drug"

Colonists "win" by bleeding the British with guerilla-warfare. British "sued" for peace after Cornwallis is defeated at Yorktown. Eight LONG years of war ends--even George Washington--a relentlessly ambitious man that sought fame & wealth--was *humbled*.

WAR of 1812

British attacked US at Washington DC / Baltimore / New Orleans. "Young" United States still had NO navy to speak of. No sizeable/national army. British officers write in their diary that they're on their way to New Orleans after defeating Napoleon at Waterloo. Upon spotting the Americans with their periscopes----cannot believe their eyes.
The sorry-est looking ragtag-motley-crew of an "army" that they had EVER laid their eyes upon. Openly wondered in amazement how-in-the-hell they ever "lost" the 1st war.

WW1

US belatedly enters the 1st Great War---TOTALLY unprepared. Has to "catch up" to the warring European nations in technology & military experience etc.
Influx of "doughboys" shifts the balance in favor of the allies. Germany agrees to surrender.
Woodrow Wilson creates the League of Extraordinary Idiots. Germany humiliated at Versailles & forced to make heavy reparations.

WW2

US enters WW2 nearly 2 years after Germany invades Poland--which results in Britain & France FINALLY/FINALLY/FINALLY declaring war on Hitler & his Nazis.
This---after the utter & and complete failure / negligence of the League Of Morons (Prez Wilson's gift to the world & now known as United Nations).
And almost 10 years after Imperial Japan invades China and YEARS of ineffectual League of Idiots/Morons attempting to reach a "diplomatic" solution.
The US navy gets a reception committee at Pearl Harbor.

As of Dec 07 1941----the USA is ranked 14th on a scale of military strength compared with the rest of the world.

Pearl Harbor, Never Again---implies that we should never again let our guard down so nakedly as we did during WW2.
In the nuclear-age and with the Cold War---the USA adopted a strategy of: Peace Through Strength. Hopefully most reasonable men & women can understand this.

Man, you really need to consider changing your name to Killjoy63. I was asked and then I gave an opinion. My "opinion" was crafted so that it could somehow make a transition into "big or biggest." I was more concerned with the humor of the picture and less with making some grand statement. Although I could support it, I didn't think this was the place nor did I want to engage in a fruitless exercise in pedantry that involves an opinion given in response to a humorous question.

Make no mistake, I can be as pedantic as the best (worst) of them but I learned a long time ago that wisdom far exceeds intelligence. Intelligence is knowledge, wisdom is to know when and how to apply it. You may want to put a little effort in practicing the "when" part. Try that and you might get invited to a few more parties. However, I stand by my opinion, and like any true American, I will defend, to the death, your right to have yours.

Of course, you will go into some off topic and disconnected diatribe as to how Ben Stein is actually a very wise and funny man who gets invited to lots of parties despite the fact neither the video, nor my inclusion of it, is about the actor. BTW have you ever watched a movie like Ferris Bueller, Good Morning Vietnam, Amadeus, or even Footloose and upon watching the stoic antagonist asked yourself "when did I become that guy?"
