I have a Jenn Air side by side. The ice maker is getting jammed with ice on the harvester fingers. I can pinch it off and the fingers shoot down below the slots. When I come back they are stuck again. Is there some sort of gearing that is out of whack?

Ice cubes too small or too big can cause this.

Upload some pics to an online photo hosting service and post the links here so we can have a look.

I have had to trim the rake (stationary piece the fingers go thru at 3 o'clock) a tad on the offending digits to stop tho from happening on a couple units...
pull the I/m and see which ones are bent and trim them a small amount to stop the ejector fingers from catching on the way by...

Samurai... I will try and get some pics up in the next day or two.

KurtiusInterupptus I see what your saying but odd this would just start happening out of the blue and have worked for the past 3 months. FYI I did purchase this as a used one on craigslist so I dont know its full history. Funny thing is it worked fine for first 3 months then it would do the above and would go back to normal for a bit and then starting getting stuck again, pretty much been stuck now for last month or so on said condition.

wish it were like the old days. Plug in your Montgomery Ward and it ran for the next 30 years without a hickup. But I suppose I would be twisting ice trays for the cocktails the rest of my life.
