Hello, Folks! Do you own a Maytag Neptune front loader? Does it sound like a jetliner on take off when it hits the high speed spin cycle? Can you hear it through your entire house? Sounds like the bearings have gone bad! I wouldn't recommend anyone to continue running their machine in such a state due to the strong possibility of further damaging your machine. Such damage may include motor failure (Due to the increased friction of the failed bearings), motor control board failure, spinner shaft warp/destruction, and inner tub support damage. Times are tough, monies scarce, and credit tight. Why get rid of the Neptune when you can simply send your outer tub in for bearing replacement? This is how it works (It requires some mechanical aptitude): remove the outer tub from the machine minus the inner tub, send the outer tub including the spinner support/shaft tub via mail or private courier, wait about 5-7 business days after receipt for your tub to return (In most cases; rush delivery and repair available). (please look at the pictures in this ad to determine what is the outer tub and spinner support.) Its the white round thing in the machine, its pretty big. The bearings and the seal will be replaced with a new set. Reinstall the outer tub and the machine, smile from ear to ear knowing you saved yourself a lot of money and time. THIS IS A PERFECT OPPORTUNITY FOR REPAIR MEN/WOMEN WHO COME ACROSS SERVICE CALLS FOR MAYTAG NEPTUNE FRONT LOADER BEARING JOBS. INSTEAD OF QUOTING YOUR CUSTOMER $500 FOR THE OUTER TUB AND ANYWHERE FROM $200-$400 IN LABOR DRIVING THE COST OF THE REPAIR OVER $700, YOU CAN SAVE THEM MONEY AND MAKE A SALE! (multi-unit discounts starting for over 1+ outer tubs)
What about the Tony Tool? Its costs over $400 for the tool and isn't economically feasible for DIYers. What about a steel stock and mallet to remove the bearings? You run the risk of removing the inner bearing race but leaving the heavily impregnable outer race intact; its hammer time..... not very fun. The cost and time associated with a DIY bearing replacement isn't worth the effort and opportunity lost finding parts and/or tools to either beat the bearings out or using a dremel to "chew" the race out of the bore. We have been down that road before, the learning curve was a steep one. We have over 4 years of experience in Maytag Neptune front loader bearing replacements and have successfully completed 100's of bearing jobs.
Some of the units we can replace the bearings are, but not limited to:model #'s 2000, 3000, 4000, 5500, 6500, 7500 and variants of such. Please feel free to inquire about your particular machine.
Costs include the front large bearing and the rear smaller bearing and the seal kit for your particular model and return postage. (New)

If you have any questions and/or concerns, feel free to call us: (619) 5 5 0 - 2 3 7 9.
Save yourself the headache and agony of either throwing your machine out or renting the TonyTool.
Upon receipt of payment, we will forward you the address to which you can ship your outer tub with the spinner support to. For DIYers, we have electronic service manuals we can email you to facilitate the removal process. (we are working on a comprehensive video on outer tub removal at this time) Rest assured when you get the tub back with the new bearings and seal, you will enjoy many more loads of quiet laundry time without the high cost of buying a new or used washer.
We pay for return shipping. Bearing jobs are guaranteed for 90days. Buyer pays for shipping in the unlikely event warranty work is necessary. Please call or PM for pricing, God Bless!
