I have a Kenmore front load washer model 417.44052401, and all of a sudden it won't spin anymore. It does the rest of the cycle fine but when it comes to the spin part it makes the noise like it should be spinning but no spin. I unplugged it, took everything out, just tried a spin cycle by itself, but no luck. Any ideas?

It won't Spin until the water gets Pumped out.
Does the Pump work OK ?
Are there any Error Codes / flashing Lights ?

Water gets pumped out OK, and I don't see any flashing lights on the front. I checked the hose on the pressure switch as well.

Put your washer in the spin cycle again. Let it go for about a minute then unplug the washer. If you can open the door right away then you need a new door latch assembly. If the door stays locked then you have a different problem.

I can stop the machine at any time and open up the door. In the past once it stated the cycle you could not open the door till the very end. Now it does not lock me out like it used to. No matter where in the cycle it is I can hit stop then open the door. So I need a door latch assembly then? Is this a hard repair?
