My whirlpool dishwasher stopped during it's wash cycle cutting off all the lights leaving water in the bottom. when any button is pressed the rinse light would start blinking. When you press the cancel button it starts blinking also. I metered the heating element and it was open so I replaced it. The dishwasher now ran longer the first time but stopped with the rinse light blinking again. Next I replaced the control circuit board and now the dishwasher stops with a blinking normal wash light . I metered the thermal and it shows a short 2ohms that shows there is continuity and it's not open. I see there is a resister across the thermal pins and was wondering if there should be a higher reading across the pins? I am buying my parts from your link. Any advise on what could be causing my problem and what I should check next would be great.

PROBLEM: WON’T RUN AND LED ABOVE KEY(S) IS BLINKING
Stuck key(s) or shorted circuit(s) in keypad.

Checking keyswitch contacts:
■ Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
■ Remove connector P1 from the control board.
Using the table below, measure the resistance across the switch when the key is pressed.
NOTE: The meter must be connected with the proper polarity.

If using an ANALOG readout meter:
The resistance reading should go from infinity (open circuit) down to a readable ohm level.
The level may be different depending on your meter, since there is a diode in the circuit.

If using a DIGITAL readout meter:
The resistance reading should go from infinity down to a readable ohm level.
The level may be different depending on your meter, since there is a diode in the circuit.
If available, you could use the “Diode Test” function of a digital meter, which will give a voltage of about 1.2 VDC during the test.
➔If any switches fail this test, replace the console panel/keypad assembly.
➔If all switches test OK, replace the machine control board

I metered out the keypad keys and they all metered good. When the dishwasher stopped last night it was during the end of the wash cycle and it just shut down and turned off all the lights and left water in the bottom. I pressed the cancel button and the cancel light started blinking. This morning I noticed that the cancel light was off and the clean light was on solid and all the water was gone from the bottom of the dishwasher. Anything else I should check?
