I have a Maytag 3000 Series Front load washer, Model # MHWE300VW12. During the past 2 weeks I have received error code F71 three times. I can usually turn the washer off and restart it and everything is fine. How can I troubleshoot to find out what is causing this problem? I do not want to start replacing parts without some idea of what the problem is.

Techsheet should be inside unit (behind lower panel) which will explain failcodes - F71 shows a heartbeat failure, and is usually caused by a failed motor controller
