What I've identified is the right post that holds the right drum rollers has a small about of black build up on it and below in the basin of the dryer I can see some shavings on the floor. Also inside the spindle if the drum roller, where it rides on the post, I can see this black buildup as well. I started a cycle and watched the roller, it would stop intermittently, thus causing the loud squeal over and over again. So I sanded the inside of the roller as a test and sanded the post as well until all were clean then repositioned - ran a cycle and it was perfect. The next day the squeal was back. So I wanted to know if it's safe to put some kind lubricant on the post or is that a bad/dangerous idea. I noticed the heating element is directly below which concerned me with any kind of dripping and fire. Is the post difficult to replace if I have to?
