Went out on a call today, to check why a GE clothes washer won't spin at all. Pulled the front panel, and, using the tech sheet, looked for the indicator light. Saw none, and thought the conclusion the motor totally dead. I priced the inverter motor, P# WH20X10057, at $274 MSRP. What highway robbery; a washer only FIVE years old, now totally worthless!
Any similar experiences?

I believe there's a Thermal Fuse in the Wiring Harness.

Exactly! That thing has fooled many a Master Appliantologist unaware of its existence (even though it's on the wiring diagram).
