Maytag 50 Gal Gas W/H, 12 years old, water leaking around the water fittings around the top. My guess...replace. NO valve at the bottom of tank, how do I get the water out to move it ???

... is there a threaded pipe plug where the Drain should be ?NO valve at the bottom of tank, how do I get the water out to move it ???

Nope, no plug, no nothing. Inlet and outlet on top and relife valve on the side near the top.
